Berg’s twisted teachings on sexuality led to an environment where abuse was not only condoned but encouraged as a religious duty. The teachings on sexuality within the Children of God were extreme and perverse, with Berg advocating for sexual relations between adults and minors as a form of spiritual expression. These teachings were disseminated through “Mo Letters,” written communications from Berg that included explicit content encouraging the sexual exploitation of children.
