Trauma Therapy for Bothell and Woodinville

Seattle Trauma Counseling's Kirkland office is a short drive south of Bothell and Woodinville on I-405, and it's where most of our clients from both cities come for in-person trauma therapy.

We don't have an office in Bothell or Woodinville, and online sessions are available anywhere in Washington.

We offer somatic, body-based therapy for PTSD and trauma, complex PTSD and childhood trauma, anxiety and panic and dissociation, for adults 18 and over. You don't need to know which method you need before you reach out, the free consultation is where we work that out together.

What Brings People in From Bothell and Woodinville

People who contact us from this corner of the Eastside are often in the middle of busy lives, commuting, raising families or caring for parents, while something from the past keeps getting in the way: sleep that won't settle, a startle out of proportion to the moment, or a relationship that keeps hitting the same wall. Somatic therapy works with how your nervous system reacts now, not only with the story of what happened.

We treat PTSD from a single event and complex PTSD that built up over years, as well as religious trauma, sexual trauma, narcissistic and emotional abuse, grief after a sudden loss and couples affected by trauma.

How Therapy Works With Us

Treatment is phase-based and paced to your nervous system. Some people begin with stabilization, learning what tips them into overdrive or shutdown and how to come back; others are ready to work with memories sooner. Approaches include EMDR, Brainspotting, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems and Lifespan Integration, and your therapist will explain each before you try it.

Getting to the Kirkland Office From Bothell and Woodinville

The office is at 10512 NE 68th St, Suite 202, in Kirkland, just off I-405. From downtown Bothell, Canyon Park and North Creek, I-405 south is the direct route. From Woodinville, Cottage Lake and the Hollywood district, most people take NE 124th St or SR 522 to I-405. From Kenmore, SR 522 to I-405 or Juanita Drive both work.

If you live at the north edge of Bothell or toward Mill Creek, our Edmonds office may be easier some days. Sessions at both offices are by appointment, and the Kirkland office page has a Get Directions link. Online sessions are a full alternative when the drive doesn't fit.
