Quick Facts

Seattle Trauma Counseling: Quick Facts

Everything on this page is a verifiable fact about our practice, stated plainly: who we are, where we work, what we treat, and how care is structured. For the story behind the facts, our homepage and therapist profiles go deeper.

The Practice

  • Founded in 2015 by Robert Espiau, LMHC, and Veronica Paige, MBA, MA, LMHC.

  • A collective of independent, licensed therapists, every clinician is a trauma specialist; trauma treatment is the practice's sole focus.

  • Approach: somatic, body-based trauma therapy, phase-based (stabilization before processing), grounded in the research of Bessel van der Kolk, Janina Fisher, Stephen Porges and Gabor Maté.

  • The practice trains other therapists: clinicians attend our religious trauma certification program, and our founder's work has been published academically, taught internationally, and quoted in the press, including Thai PBS World.
